In a recently released TV ad, Apple uses the comforting duet song “Heart & Soul” played on the GarageBand app to highlight the similarity of iPad 4 and iPad Mini. This ad highlights the best of Apple’s advertising by playing a catchy song while focusing on the function of the device.
The ad itself is smart because “Heart & Soul” is a simple duet that piano teachers will teach their students or if you’re a child of the 80s and loved the movie Big, you will remember it as the song that Tom Hanks played on a giant piano in FAO Schwarz.
The ad plays an integral part in putting an emotional concept to a product which will need some help as far as setting itself apart from other 7″ tablets and eReaders since it is priced at the higher end of the market. Though it is already sold in store the main focus will be how the iPad Mini sells during the holiday season.
